Each oceanfront and gardenview cottage contains a minibar, coffeemaker, CD player (with access to our CD library), safe, scented candles and air conditioning. Laundry service is available by arrangement. Please note that most rooms do not have televisions or telephones in order to encourage a more stress-free living environment. The staff at Jake’s is welcoming, professional and gracious, and operates as a familiar, family-style unit, which prides itself on anticipating your every need. Led by Miss Yvonne, a team of accomplished chefs, barmen, managers, spa therapists and a grounds crew will guide you throughout your stay. As local citizens, our staff will also be happy to field queries and share the infectious sense of southern Jamaican humor that draws the community into such good company.

A team of experienced guides and drivers is available for tour and activity outings as well as day trips to surrounding cities and villages. Transportation to and from the airport may also be arranged.

Wireless DSL service is available in the Media Room, the Front Office and at the Restaurant.

A nanny service can be organized through our front desk with twenty-four hour advance notice.

Each room contains a minibar with snacks and drinks, and some rooms feature full kitchens. If you would like to have additional groceries brought to your room, the front desk can assist you based on availability. In-room dining is also available upon request.

Jake’s kitchen is happy to prepare picnic baskets for guest excursions.

Swimming Pool

Our property features a custom-tiled sea-water swimming pool that is just steps away from the oceanfront bar. Sip on a cocktail or just breathe in the balmy Caribbean breeze as you surrender to the luxury of aquatic relaxation. Our swimming pool is open from dawn to dusk and overlooks Jake’s private beachfront.

Private Beachfront

Jake’s has its own on-site private beachfront where you will see amazing corral, fresh water fish and vivid plant life. Located near the bar and swimming pool, it is one of the defining characteristics of the property for its sheer beauty and hassle free convenience.

Media Room

Wireless DSL , board games, a comprehensive book and DVD library and a large flat screen television are all provided in our multi-purpose media room. The peaceful, homey atmosphere can act as a private retreat or a gathering point for business or leisure. The comfortable couch is the perfect spot to unwind over a book or take in a movie after a luxurious swim in the ocean.

Calabash Pavilion

Jake’s on-site Calabash avilion, located at the far end of the property overlooking Jack Sprat’s beach, can accommodate weddings, yoga retreats or a special occasion of your preference. The Pavilion also plays host to the celebrated Calabash Literary Festival each May.

Gift Shop

Our Gift Shop sells a variety of local craft items, clothing, footwear, toiletries and souvenirs. We also feature an original collection of Jamaica-branded T-shirts and beach gear. Additionally, all the essentials, including bug spray, tanning lotion, disposable cameras and travel books and maps, are available.
